Sonny's Sunday

Remember this? The "Old Blanket"

Tied together with twine, to fit the Bunz.

Well, Someone took pity on Poor, Poor Sonny Bunz, and sent him a New and Stylin' Blanket!

Here he is, in all his manly glory,
showing how smashingly sexy he is
under his new cover.

Here we have Sonny saying,
"THANK YOU AUNT CDNCOWGIRL!!!!
"Now My Bunz Are WARM!"

That's about it for this little corner of the world. I've been battling a crap internet issue,
No phone service,
Technicians who are full of sh*t,
Crazy Children,
and as always,
FRICKEN RAIN.

Sonny got the week off due to really lousy footing. We took a walk one day, and did do something a bit different though. Down the road a bit, there are pretty tall sand banks (kinda remind me of snow banks back up in Tundra Country.) These banks lead to a set of trails that wind through the scrub land next to us.

Sonny and I walked up the road (with no dog, cat, or children even,) and for the heck of it, we went up and down the banks. It was hilarious. Sonny had NO clue what the heck was going on. But he liked it! Wish I had pix to share, but... I walked out with out my camera. Not like the sand banks are going to go anywhere though, so we can try it again another day.

Now those of you owned by a feline (or three) will find this amusing. Kitty Biscuits has a death wish. (Yes, she does.) Not only has she decided that pouncing on Dear Husband's feet or HEAD in the middle of the night is F-U-N,

She climbs Sonny's tail.

HIS
TAIL.

Sonny- who *hates* animals smaller than he is.
Sonny- who will kill a dog.
Sonny- who has chased Biscuits out of the paddock.

Yeah.

SHE CLIMBS HIS TAIL.

Cute she is, bright she ain't.

That 'bout sums it up for today. Three more days of rain expected this week.

Next week, listen for us to quack.
Or say "Ribbit".
And have gills.
Oh- and webbed feet.

ETA:
The sun was shining. Very Brightly! I listened to it, dragged Sonny out of the muck and mess, and we played and rode. Man alive, how much better life looks from the back of a horse...

I have decided that Kitty Biscuits need to go in and see our wonderful vet this week. Why? Because it dawned on me, as she was attempting to molest Sonny's leg, then my boots, then the dog, that she is in heat. While I adore Kitty Biscuits, having a whole herd of tiny biscuit makers around is NOT NOT NOT an option.

And how does Sonny take to this invasion of his supreme royal personal space? Badly. Kitty is either going to learn real fast to avoid hooves, or she will be Kitty Pancake. Good thing I was there to save her silly fluffy butt!!

Love Sonny's new blankie. Blue is defintely a good color on him.

So what does Sonny think about the kitty climbing his tail? That's a pretty important detail you left out.

I'm pretty sure if you grow gills, I probably will as well. I'm hoping that's not the case. This wet stuff is making me nuts.

That's awesome that cdncowgirl sent the Bunz a blanket; she got the fit right too! I guess with all that rain you don't have any issues with Sonny crossing mud puddles when you ride.

Sonny is lookin' glorious in his new blanket! :) Love the color.

And I had to laugh reading about Kitty Biscuits...LOL! Hope she gets fixed soon, hehe ;)

Your welcome Sonny :)

The blanket was Quinn's and the chances of me owning another horse that size anytime soon is VERY slim. That blue looks just as good on a redhead as it did on a dun (buckskin?)

Those sandbanks will be an awesome conditioning tool. Sonny is going to have buns o steel!

That is so sweet of Aunt cdncowgirl! What a pretty blanket for that cutie pie Sonny!! Great color too!
Poor Kitty Biscuit, getting in trouble already! Gotta love those feisty felines!! But climbing a horse's tail? That is definitely hoping for a death wish!

I forgot to say - KB climbing Sonny's tail!? Just wait til she figures out how to get on his back. lol

You're still having problems with phone/internet. Maybe time to go up the chain of command and raise some hell.

LOL, we have a saying here that applies to cats that do that stuff: too dumb to live. Think it's okay to climb up and drink outta the stallion's water bucket? Hope you can breathe underwater! When visitors ask if there's a cat under their car before they drive away, we say "Don't worry about it. We've already run over the stupid ones."

Honestly, you can't protect a cat from being a cat any more than you can protect a horse from being a horse. Sonny will show KB the boundaries of good behavior!

Mr. Bunz Sir looks very handsome indeed in his new blanket! Too bad they like to roll in the mud in them! You just tell him he is looking goooood!

When we first brought Noodles and Munchie home from Florida with us they were about the same age as Kitty Biscuit. For the first few weeks their most favorite thing to do was to pounce on our heads or feet if we moved a tiny bit!! The Hubs was a good sport about it but I'm glad they went on to other things quite quickly! Aand yes, it would be in the middle of the night!

Would like to have seen Sonny Bunz going up and down the sand! Take your camera next time!!

I've been packing but needed a break. It's more fun to pack for Disney when you can just throw in some shorts and tops and sneakers. This trip has functions so I have to think about it a little more. I'm about 75% done so tomorrow I won't panic and start throwing things into the suitcase hand over fist!

I'll try to check in while I'm gone MM but in the meantime give those little mens a big hug for me! I hope things dry out down there and I don't want rain the whole time I am in the sunny south!! :o)

What a handsome fellow under that new blanket. I hope it's true and cats have nine lives cause it sounds like she is gonna need all that and maybe more.

Awww Sonny looks quite handsome. Very kind of you Cdn to pass Quinn's blanket along to a deserving pony.

Sounds like Kitty is still very young. She's gonna need a little guidance if she is going to survive-LOL.

Sorry I didn't get ya called back. It's been just a tad c.r.a.z.y! ;)

I saw on THe Food Network one day that there is a fried chicken restaurant that THROW bisquits across the room to it's patrons. And folks even bring butterfly nets to catch 'em. Kitty Bisquits better watch out, or that same thing might happen to her. Of course, noone will catch her nice and pretty. Instead she'll end up face planting into a mud puddle. lol!

Beautiful blanket. Looks great on Sonny Bunz! What a generous gift from CDNCowgirl :)
His smile/yawn made me laugh. Good capture!
