Hilarity.
Decorating for Christmas has been a big goal around The Asylum these days.
Trees inside,
Santa,
a Nativity scene outside,
And
The
Deer.
The Deer Move.
Funniest blasted thing I have seen in AGES now.
DAT went out the door about two hours after the deer had been set up.
Instantly, (after stepping off the porch and wandering about the yard some,)
DAT sees something ... different... in the yard.
(No she isn't the most observant kitten around...)
She drops belly to the ground...
making her way slowly slowly towards the interlopers....
And the deer MOVED.
DAT about turned herself inside out.
She flipped herself around,
up in the air,
and hauled butt back home.
Once reaching the safety of the porch,
she had to re-assess the situation.
Carefully, she made her way inch by inch back to the moving deer.
This time though, she didn't flip and run.
This time, she inched up bit by careful bit,
Belly in the grass,
until she could reach out and sniff the deer.

Was
Hilarious.
I figure it is revenge for her beating the snot out of the Christmas tree inside.

I wish I could have seen that. It seems kind of mean but cats are hysterical when they're surprised by something. It's amazing how high they can jump in a split second.
LOL Not mean at all IMO! ;) This *IS* the DAT we're talking about- she who terrorizes everyone and everything every chance she gets. So seeing her get a spook now and then is TOTALLY worth it!! (I know. I'm a mean MEAN Mommy...muwahahahaha)

Ditto on the GunDiva. I'm jealous about the deer; always wanted some, but the wind around here carries everything back to town in record time! Merry Christmas to the Asylum.

LMAO! Oh god. Thats the best. I have a story about deer like that, two actually. The first involves my friends trying to steal a deer off someones lawn and finding out the hard way the deer was attached to all the lights on the house and the second was my damn cousins...lets just say light up deer can make woopie too.
OMG! I need remote-controlled yard deer! The only thing better would be if we could secretly move the deer on command!
And just look at the smug expression on her face in that first picture. She looks like the type of cat who would get quite embarrassed over her own cowardly actions.

years ago we had a cat that got an abscess, he had to be locked in the bathroom so we could catch him to give his meds... he was NOT a cuddly kitty... anyway, he hopped up on the counter one night and turned around, saw himself in the mirror for the first time every and FELL OFF THE COUNTER!!!
