You're On Mrs Mom's Camera!
In order to control the (legless) snake population a bit, hayfield *yard* care in is order. While mowing and weed whackering on Sunday, Dear Husband found this old guy in the pen with the big Bloodhound. Just how Mr. Turtle escaped the (slobbery) attention of the 'Hound is beyond me- that dog LOVES to slime EVERYTHING. And I do mean EVERYTHING. All you have to do is come within six feet of him and BLAMO-- you've been slimed. We call it liquid love. (OK so *I* Call it just plain g-r-o-s-s!)
Now onto some neat stuff. Above is Big Kahuna. Significant weight gain later, Kahuna is ready to head out to be a riding horse again. Three
Lutin (aka: Mommy's Little Dump Truck) is going to miss his buddy... but not that much.
Why not? Two reasons- the first is he too will be going on a short vacation until Sunday when I return from class. The second is there is a mare that will be coming in for some lameness rehab work. So he won't be lonely for long for Kahuna. I just hope my fatty boombalatty boy there gets along with a GIRL roomie for a bit!
Wait-- Mrs Mom mentioned a class! It's not equine related, so don't get all excited about new horsey information when I get back.
And before anyone says it- I will. I confess. Lutin. Is. Fat. PHAT, FAT, Chunky Monkey, Chubby Hubby, Roly poly FAT.
But dang isn't he CUTE?
Stay cool y'all.

Adorable!! I can't tell anyone else thier horse is fat, all you have to do is look at mine , I have only one mare left to foal, but it appears the only ones who don't look preggers including the geldings is the stallions!
Big Kahuna is not alone - I (lovingly of course) refer to Sunny as a pumpkin. He has legs, but he looks a LOT more like a pregnant mare than he should at the moment. Sigh...
We have painted turtles here, a couple of days ago I was on my way home and stopped twice to assist them in crossing the road. I think it's egg laying time for them.
Lutin is indeed cute, and that's not fat, it's pleasantly plump!
Fat is pretty on any horse, IMO. Big K looks real good. Love the turtle!!
(wait a sec while I wipe away the drool) Kahuna is nice!!
And Lutin is not THAT fat.
So are you going to fill us in on this mysterious class...
Lutin is very cute...and why don't you move out here? The weather has been in the 70's all week. And we have almost no poisonous snakes in my county (OK, there are rattlers--but they are very rare).
Lutin doesn't look bad! There are so many that are so very much worse! Molly Moo included when she got here last summer!
And YAY! A picture of Kahuna without his head chopped off! He's so gorgeous! Keep praying we move, so he can come live with me!
PS Find 5 minutes to stop by this weekend!
Awww, pudgy pony! <3
Is it a shootin class? Have fun, learn a lot, don't forget us!
Class?? Fess up girl...and why is it NOT horse related? Lutin is pretty darn cute; how dare you call him fat.
Juanita
Ooh - don't you be gettin' on Juanita's bad side for calling Lutin fat. Oh wait... Juanita doesn't HAVE a bad side (but you already knew that).
Kahuna looks GREAT!
Love his name too. I had to laugh (hysterically, actually), at the 3-year old that wouldn't stop calling my Kona, "COMA". Itty Bit was so confused ;)
Why is my word verification "swearing"????
Big K looks great! cool turtle.
If Lutin is fat than my horses must be obese. He looks perfect!
Nice turtle. I don't know much about them, but he does look like an old one. Very cool!
Fat or phat horses are well fed and loved. I resemble them. LOL.
