Great news to start the weekend everybody! MiKael made it home last night! She is still weak as a kitten, but she is HOME.
Strong as she has been all her life, this is still going to take quite a while for her to recover from. Right now she is battling with blood clots in her lungs and legs, which we all know can be extremely dangerous in and of itself. Doctor visits begin on Monday, to begin a treatment plan for the cancer. After being hospitalized for a whopping 24 days, MiKael said it was so amazing to just be HOME again. She and Dave truly appreciate the calls, emails and donations- you have all touched their hearts with your support.
And speaking of support, be sure to head over to see Shirley's amazingly beautiful original artwork that she is raffling off for MiKael! I knew Diamond Lazy H produced some truly stunning horses, incredible photographs of rural life and horses, but I never knew what talent Shirley had with simple tools such as paper, pen and ink.
Don't know about you guys, but that bit of news put a song in my heart for the day. MiKael, it is so good to have you back with us at home! And someone, please, sneak a horse to her window so she can get a horse kiss!

So glad she made it home - I was only in the hospital for 5 days and was desperate to get home even though I felt awful. Hope she continues to heal - please pass on best wishes.

That's good news. I know what it's like to be without a horse hug for a while. Here's hoping she gets to visit them soon.
